Dr. Cassandra Papak grew up in Rensselaer, Indiana. She earned a BA in Anthropology
and was a member of the Honors College at the University of Notre Dame. During her junior year at ND, she
volunteered at the Sister Maura Brannick Health Center in South Bend. There she met Dr. John B. Toepp and
became interested in a career in podiatry.
Dr. Papak earned her doctorate from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind
Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago. She completed a three-year residency training
program at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, where she met Dr. Donald D. McGowan and
became interested in private practice. Dr. Papak practiced at the Foot & Ankle Clinic of Michiana in
River Park in South Bend for eight years. In July 2022, she opened Lincolnway Foot Care at its current
location near downtown Mishawaka.
Dr. Papak is a member of the medical staff at Saint Joseph Health System Mishawaka and Memorial Hospital
of South Bend. She is board certified (American Board of Podiatric Medicine). She is a parishioner at
Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, a member of the Mishawaka Beta Gamma Chapter of Tri Kappa, and
volunteers at the Mishawaka Historical Museum, as well as with the Home and School Association at Mishawaka
Catholic Schools.
